Developing, verifying and validating products for new markets

This event has now ended. You can rewatch the webinar below, or visit our YouTube channel for all other webinars.
NMIS Insights is a monthly series of breakfast seminars from the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS).

Are you an inventor or an innovative company looking to grow through new product development or diversify by taking an existing product into a new but regulated market?

This webinar will challenge the reluctance to innovate outside existing standards, frameworks and methods by providing an introduction to key concepts within product development while outlining the crucial verification and validation steps required for successful product acceptance within new markets.

Aimed at smaller innovators without in-house design or technology qualification resources, or significant design engineering experience, this session is relevant for businesses across all sectors and will be hosted by our design engineering team in collaboration with Astrimar, an engineering consultancy specialising in reliability, integrity and technology qualification.

Working in a business development role for our design engineering team, Hannah is focused on creating impact within UK manufacturing, working with ambitious companies every day to slingshot their ideas from concepts to advanced prototypes, while exploring suitable methods of manufacture and crucially supporting the verification and validation of these products for ultimate market acceptance.

A founding director of Astrimar, Caroline has more than 25 years’ in the offshore oil and gas and subsea engineering business sectors. Her technical expertise centres around reliability, technical risk, integrity management and technology qualification. As well as contributing to industry best practice in technology qualification and reliability assurance, Caroline, along with her Astrimar colleagues, has supported a wide range of technology developers including large scale R&D departments and technology start-ups.
