Fully funded ReMake training for manufacturers 

Explore practical ways to keep products in service longer, reduce carbon, and unlock new business opportunities through circular value retention. The ReMake Glasgow training series offers three interactive workshops for manufacturers of all sizes, delivered by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) and the University of Strathclyde.

Each session introduces tools and approaches developed through ReMake demonstrators in remanufacturing, repair, and reuse, helping businesses build capability and explore collaboration opportunities with the ReMake Value Retention Centre (RVRC).

Sessions run from 09:30–12:30, followed by an optional networking hour.

Measuring the impact of remanufacturing: insights from innovative growing Scottish businesses 

Supported by Scottish Enterprise

Hear from three ambitious Scottish companies applying circular economy principles to real manufacturing challenges. This session, supported by Scottish Enterprise, explores how you can measure circular impact, reduce waste, and make informed, value-based decisions. 

You’ll hear directly from companies navigating new regulatory requirements, including textiles manufacturers responding to the first wave of The Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) compliance and the introduction of Digital Product Passports on exports to the European market.

Design for ReX: practical steps for manufacturers 

NMIS Netherton, Renfrewshire

Design for ReX focuses on designing products so they can be remanufactured, repaired, refurbished, repurposed or reused, keeping materials in circulation and at their highest value for as long as possible. 

This session explores practical ways to embed these principles into your products and processes from the start, helping you reduce waste, lower cost, and strengthen circular value streams. You’ll also hear from local company WEEE Scotland, who will share their experience working with the NMIS Design Engineering team to improve product value and build more resilient revenue models.

The ReMake Glasgow training series helps manufacturers of all sizes explore practical ways to keep products in service for longer, cut carbon, and unlock new business opportunities through circular value retention.

Delivered by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) and the University of Strathclyde, the workshops form part of ReMake Glasgow - a project funded through the Glasgow City Region Innovation Accelerator programme, led by Innovate UK on behalf of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
