Allan Cook, a chartered engineer with over 40 years' international experience in automotive, aerospace, and defense industries, served as Non-Executive Director and Chairman of WS Atkins until its acquisition by SNC-Lavalin in July 2017. Previously, he held executive roles at Cobham PLC and senior positions at GEC-Marconi, BAE Systems, and Hughes Aircraft. Allan has chaired various organizations including Helios Towers plc, HS2 Ltd, and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. He is currently Chairman of the Materials Innovation Leadership Group for the Henry Royce Institute and serves on multiple boards including J.F. Lehman & Company's operating Executive Board. Recognized for his contributions, Allan was awarded a CBE and received honorary doctorates from Cranfield University and Warwick University.
