Your opportunity to shape the future of manufacturing in Scotland, the wider UK and beyond 

We are looking for individuals from across the national and international advanced manufacturing community to register their interest in membership of the NMIS Board, which will play a vital role in driving the NMIS Group forward in our quest to deliver our ambitious objectives:

  • Increase productivity by reducing barriers to innovation
  • Stimulate investment and increase manufacturing competitiveness
  • Catalyse job creation and strengthen supply chain links
  • Inspire and attract talent and equip current and future workforces with the skills they and businesses need; and
  • Provide leadership, build collaborations and enhance capability to influence adaptation and exploit manufacturing opportunities to boost Scotland's transition a net zero emissions economy by 2045
  • Work with manufacturing businesses of all sizes and multiple sectors, providing benefits across the whole of Scotland 

The Board, Chaired by Professor Sir Jim McDonald, will comprise of representatives from across key industry sectors, academia and government agencies.

Our ambition is to expand the Board as NMIS grows. The names of all interested individuals will be kept on record for consideration as the Board develops during 2021.
